JEE Main 2026 Admit Card: Latest Release
The NTA has officially released the admit cards for candidates scheduled to appear for the exams on April 5, 6, 7, and 8, 2026. This follows the earlier release of hall tickets for the April 2 and April 4 slots.

Exam Schedule and Timings
The Session 2 exams are being conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode across two shifts daily:
Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon (Reporting time: 7:30 AM)
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM (Reporting time: 1:30 PM)
Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning): Scheduled for April 7, 2026, in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Initial Paper Analysis (April 2, Shift 1 & 2)
Early feedback from students who appeared on the first day suggests a “Moderate” difficulty level overall.
Mathematics: Reported as the toughest and lengthiest section, focusing heavily on Calculus, Vectors, 3D Geometry, and Coordinate Geometry.
Physics: Moderate difficulty with a focus on conceptual questions from Mechanics and Modern Physics.
Chemistry: Considered the easiest section, with balanced coverage of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry.
Strict Exam Day Guidelines
The NTA has reinforced strict protocols to ensure a fair examination process. Candidates must adhere to the following:
Mandatory Documents: A printed copy of the Admit Card, a valid original Photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, etc.), and a passport-size photograph (same as the application form).
Prohibited Items: No electronic gadgets, metallic items, jewelry, or thick-soled footwear.
Admit Card Submission: Candidates must drop their admit card in the designated box before leaving the exam hall. Failure to do so may result in the non-evaluation of the answer sheet.
Biometric Attendance: Mandatory Aadhaar-based biometric authentication will be conducted at the center.
Question Papers and Solutions
Memory-based question papers and unofficial answer keys for the April 2 shifts are already being released by major coaching institutes. The official provisional answer key is expected to be released 3–4 days after the final exam date (April 8), allowing students a window to challenge any discrepancies before the final results are declared around April 20, 2026.
