Job Description

• Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10th standard from any recognized board. Candidate must have knowledge of local language of the concerned postal circle, basic computer knowledge, and cycling ability.
• Age Limit: Minimum age to apply should be 18 years and maximum age should be 40 years.
• Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules.
• Major posts included the recruitment –
  • Branch Postmaster (BPM)
  • Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
  • Dak Sevak
• Total Vacancies: 23,757 posts across various postal circles nationwide.

• Selection Process: Selection will be done strictly on basis of a merit list prepared from marks obtained in 10th standard. No written exam or CBT will be conducted.
• Application Fee –

• One-Time Registration (OTR) Starts 31 August 2026.
• Online Application Starts 02 September 2026.
• Last Date to Apply 19/21 September 2026.

  • Valid Photo ID Proof

• Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process.
• After completing OTR, log in using your registration credentials.
• Open the application link for GDS Recruitment 2026.
• Fill in your personal, educational, and communication details accurately.
• Upload your latest passport-size photograph, signature, and necessary documents.
• Select your preferred postal circle carefully.
• Pay the application fee online (if applicable).
• Review all entered details carefully and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
• Download and take a printout of submitted application form for future reference.
