According to the updated official release, the total number of vacancies now stands at 10,731 posts, down from the initially estimated 12,256 posts mentioned in the May notification. This reflects a decrease of 1,525 positions.
Despite the decrease in posts, competition remains intense with over 30.94 lakh (3,094,823) candidates registered nationwide. The Tier-1 Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place from September 30 to October 30, 2026.

SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme
