Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply for SBI PO?
To become a Probationary Officer (PO) in the State Bank of India, candidates must fulfill the following two baseline eligibility conditions –
- Educational Qualification: Candidates who have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university can apply. Furthermore, candidates who are currently in their final year or final semester of graduation are also provisionally eligible to apply.
- There is no restriction regarding the stream or subject of graduation.
Age Limit (with Relaxations)
- To apply for SBI PO, the candidate’s age must be between 21 to 30 years.
- The crucial date for age calculation is April 1, 2026.
- Reserved category candidates will be granted upper age relaxation as per Government of India rules.
SBI PO Salary Structure 2026
To get selected as an SBI PO, candidates must clear a three-stage selection process consisting of the Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam, and a Personal Interview.
Upon receiving the appointment letter, selected candidates will receive an initial basic pay of ₹48,480. The official pay scale is: 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
