Job Description
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must have Graduation degree from any recognized university.
- Specific qualifications have also been prescribed for some special posts. Such as –

- Age Limit: Minimum age to apply should be 21 years and maximum age should be 40 years.
- Age of candidate will be calculated as on 1st July 2026.
- Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules, relaxation is as follows –

- Three levels of examination will be conducted in recruitment of UP PCS.
- Preliminary Examination: It consists of two papers GS Paper 1 and CSAT objective type with negative marking of 1/3rd.
- Main Examination: It is a descriptive written examination consisting of Uttar Pradesh General Knowledge (GS Paper V & VI).
- Interview: A personality test is conducted followed by an interview carrying 100 marks. The final merit list is based on scores of the main examination and interview.

- How to apply online?
- First of all go to official website of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, uppsc.up.nic.in.
- It is necessary to do OTR before filling form, without this the application cannot be done.
- Generate OTR number by entering your required details (name, email, mobile number), this may take up to 72 hours.
- After receiving OTR number, log in using your details or OTP.
- Go to the dashboard and click on link ‘UP PCS 2026’ Recruitment 2026.
- Most of your details will automatically come from OTR, check them once.
- Enter your graduation degree and other required educational qualifications.
- Scan and upload your new passport size photo and signature in prescribed size.
- Pay fees online (net banking, card or UPI) as per your category.
- After checking the complete form, click on the ‘Submit‘ button and take a printout for future reference.
